## How Points work

Helpz Points work similar to Nectar and Clubcard. When students spend at your business they earn points.

For each £1 a student spends at your business you choose how many points to give. Each points is worth 0.5 pence - this is the same as Nectar.

For a student to earn points at your business, they will need to spend in a way that meets the conditions you've set.

The main conditions you can set is the timing of when they spend (like the day of the week, or timing within the day), and the amount they spend (like a minimum amount spent requirment).

For example:

- **3X Points** from Monday to Thursdsay.
- **5X Points** in the mornings (from 8am to 11:00am)
- **20X Points** Monday to Thursday if you spend over £50

## How students claim the Points offer?

To be able to earn points, the student simply needs to spend with their bank card your business.

Our app automatically tracks if the student has made the purchase, and whether they have met the conditions (like spending during the right time period, and spending above the minimum amount) to be able to earn the points.

If the students' purchase has met the conditions you've set, then the correct number of points will be automtically given to the student's account in their app.

Points Offers run automtically in the background (with your oversight and control of course) so there is nothing your business or its staff need to do to manage it day to day.

## Creating Your Points Offer

In your dashboard, navigate to the student offers area and then select the Points section. If you have any existing Points Offers set up (active or inactive) these will show up here. You can choose to edit an existing Points Offer or create a new one.

## Customising Your Points Offer

Fill out all the details and customise the offer so it matches the exact needs for your venue. Once you are happy make sure you set the Points Offer to active and then press create.

The offer is entirely in your control:

- [x] You control how many points per £1 spent to give to the students
- [x] You control the minimum spend required to earn the points
- [x] You control the specific days and times when the points can be earned
- [x] You can set a max budget for how many points
- [x] You can remove / edit the offer at any point

The Points Offer works automtically because the students have linked their bank cards to the app which enables it to automatically issue points if the spend conditions are met.

This means as a businesses its super simple, and you don't have to take any extra steps to set this up or to keep it running.

No annoying physical cards, no scanning, no complicated integrations.
